| What Would You Like To See From Sony During E3 This Year?
Added: 14.06.2015 0:16 | 9 views | 0 comments
Eddie Makuch // Gamespot:
With more than 22 million PS4 consoles sold, things seem to be going quite well for Sony right now. But there is always room for improvement, and E3 is a great venue for the company to flex its muscles.
I want to see an extended Uncharted 4: A Thief's End demo, something like the burning chateau scene from Uncharted 3. Naughty Dog has proven it can create some of the most compelling, jaw-dropping, awe-inspiring set pieces and action sequences in all of gaming. E3 is as good a time as ever to show something spectacular to make up for the game's delay into next year.

On the face of it, the notion of bringing the entire Uncharted trilogy from PS3 to PS4 - with 1080p60 upgrades to boot - should be relatively simple. After all, PlayStation 4 represents a generational leap in system capabilities, particularly in terms of raw GPU power. However, Naughty Dog's recent GDC talk - "Parallelising the Naughty Dog engine using fibres" - reveals in stark detail how difficult it was to bring The Last of Us across to the new Sony console. Indeed, the initial porting work for the game resulted in a sub-optimal experience operating at less than 10fps.
